Albert's Coney Island: Carryout, Drive Thru, & Delivery

Albert’s Coney Grill is a Coney island that is located in Auburn Hills, Michigan on Featherstone Road near The Pontiac Silverdome or by Oakland Community College. There is another location off of 10 Mile Road in Eastpointe, Michigan by the Huron Park. The restaurant serves American and Greek food. Albert’s serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner so you can grab a meal from there anytime of the day. The only location that I have tried personally has the address 2061 Featherstone, Auburn Hills, Michigan because it’s located right by my work. My people at my work always order lunch from Albert’s Coney Island because they love the food and convenience. Albert’s has carryout, dine-in, delivery, and a drive thru available. We like to order lunch for delivery during the winter so we don't have to go out in the cold. The menu includes appetizers, garden salads, sides, Coney’s, burgers, Coney clubs, melts, sandwiches, hot sandwiches, pita wraps, beverages, desserts, Italian dishes, dinners, stir fry, omelettes, egg combinations, food hot off the griddle, and breakfast sides. The kid’s menu includes lunches and dinners but even a couple choices for breakfast such as one egg with two sausages or bacon and two pancakes or two French toast also with two sausages or bacon. All kids meals are served with a small pop or small milk of their choice. This is the only Coney Island that has a drive thru that I know of in Michigan. I think its good because many people are in a rush and don’t have time to sit down to eat a meal. Albert’s make it an easy choice to order food from because they do more for their costumers than a typical family restaurant does. My favorite food item to order from Albert’s is the medium chicken Greek salad with the Saganaki flaming cheese on the side. The greek dressing is really pink, thick, and creamy like real good dressing is supposed to taste like. I like to dip my pita bread in the dressing also. I think that the pita bread is homemade because it’s always really hot when they deliver the food to us at work. My boss always orders the country omelette that's filled with sausage, green peppers, onions, and American cheese topped with sausage gravy. They always forget to bring her toast so we always have to tell them to not forget the toast when we order over the phone. My other boss orders the fried chicken meal with mashed potatoes and gravy with green beans. I have tried there chicken fajita wrap with grilled chicken. The fajita wrap was not that good because the wrap was soggy and falling apart from the cooking filling inside the wrap.  The filling consisted of green peppers, grilled onions, and melted Swiss cheese. The coney dogs are topped with chili, mustard, and onion. I really like the food at Albert’s Coney Island and will continue to try different items off of the menu. I’m sure that the people from my work will be ordering from Albert’s this week sometime.

Bangkok Cuisine Restaurant

Bangkok cuisine restaurant is one of my favorite restaurants to order the best quality Thai food. Bangkok has many locations throughout the state of Michigan such as Sterling Heights, Roseville, Ann Arbor, Clinton Township, Detroit, Washington Township, West Bloomfield, Bloomfield Hills, Royal Oak, Auburn Hills, and Rochester. I've only been to the Bangkok Cuisine Express in Auburn Hills and the Bangkok Cuisine Restaurant located in downtown Rochester. The restaurant won an award for best Thai food in 2011, 2012, and 2013 and the award was called "People Choice Award." Bangkok is open seven days a week with the times varying on week days and weekends but closed during the holidays. I have tried a few items off their menu for lunch and dinner. I have always been satisfied with the food that I have ordered from Bangkok. My favorite lunch or dinner meal that I order from Bangkok is the Bangkok Chicken. The Bangkok Chicken is lightly breaded chicken sauteed with sweet and sour sauce, and topped with green onion. The lunch portion comes with the chicken and the white or brown rice on the side with soy sauce. I didn't care for the spring rolls when I ordered them last time. The spring rolls are made of cabbage, carrots, and transparent noodles and it's served with sweet and sour sauce. You can also order a crispy roll which is made of ground chicken, bean sprouts, black mushrooms, and transparent noodle. I think that the crispy roll tastes a lot better dipped in the sweet and sour sauce that comes with it. The people that I work with will order Bangkok for lunch and my boss orders a meal called the Gang Dang. The Gang Dang consists of chicken, beef, or pork, shrimp or scallop, bamboo shoots, mushrooms, and green peppers in red curry and coconut milk. I like eating the Gang Dang when it's a little more spicier than usual. The different spice levels that you can order your Thai food are mild, mild++, medium, hot, or extra hot. I order the Hot and Sour soup with my meal every time I order something extra. The Hot and Sour soup is made of chicken, bamboo shoots, water chestnuts, and green onions. The other soup that is on the menu is called Tom Yum which consists of lemon grass, straw mushrooms, green peppers, coriander leaves, lime juice, and chili paste. This restaurant has many different types of fried rice that includes chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, or crab meat, carrots, eggs, and onion. The menu from the website brings up a few categories such as appetizers and salads, soup and fried rice, special Thai taste, noodles and side orders, Bangkok Cuisine specialties, seafood, vegetable, desserts, and drinks. They have a pretty good selection to pick from off their menu that is on their site. The Thai iced tea is supposed to be really good drink for during the summer and it tastes pretty good. The Koong Houm pa is a 6 piece fried Jumbo shrimp and pork wrapped in an egg roll shell, served with plum sauce. The Thai food is excellent from Bangkok cuisine restaurant and you should visit their website at http://www.bangkokcuisine.net/.

Casa Real: A Mexican Cantina

Casa Real is a mexican cantina that is located on 21 S. Washington St. in Oxford, Michigan. This restaurant serves my favorite mexican food and drinks in Michigan. The atmosphere is very family oriented and the service is excellent every time. The wait for a table on the weekends can be very long but it's worth the wait. Casa Real is known for their house margarita, which is really good and strong. I have tried many items from their menu but my favorites are the steak and chicken chimichangas. My ultimate favorite item to order off the menu is the shrimp and steak fajitas. The prices are reasonable because you get a really good quantity of food. I've never left the restaurant without taking home extra food that I couldn't eat because they give a lot of food. The menu consists of appetizers, lunch, dinner, kids, drinks, and desserts. My favorite appetizers to order from Casa Real are the guacemole dip, the cheese dip, bean dip, and the cheese nachos. The appetizer menu also includes mexican pizzas, other dips, burritos, enchiladas, and soft or hard tacos. The lunch and dinner menu's includes chimichangas, different kinds of salads, fajitas, tacos, rancheros, and different types of burritos. Any of the food that includes seafood is really excellent and you will not be disappointed if your a seafood fan. The shrimp are jumbo shrimp when you order them with a meal such as the shrimp fajitas and they give you a really good amount of shrimp. The kids menu includes arroz con pollo which is grilled chicken mixed with rice, enchilada, mexi-roni and cheese, mini taco salad, quesadilla, tacos and burritos, huevitos which is scrambled egg, soft taco, cheese sticks and curly fries, hot dog and curly fries, cheese burger and curly fries, and chicken tenders and curly fries. The desserts include flan, pastel de tres leches, which is white cake soaked in three kinds of milk, sopapilla, churros, banana chimichanga, sundae, and my favorite, which is fried ice cream. If you are 21 years or older then they have many drink specials and their drinks are the best in Michigan. The server gives you chips and salsa to munch on while your waiting for them to bring your drinks and decide what you're getting for an appetizer and for dinner. The chips and salsa are also really good and the white cheese dip that you can order separately to go with your chips and salsa. The servers are very friendly and like to keep costumers happy. One side of the restaurant is the bar side and the other side of the restaurant is the family oriented side where you can sit and eat. Casa Real has many events that happen at dinnertime and for nightlife on the weekends. They have salsa dancing every Saturday night from 9 pm until 2 am the next day. The restaurant also has mariachi bands play every night and karaoke night every Friday from 9 pm until 2 am the next day. Casa Real will also do catering for big or small parties and for a really cheap cost. Hope you will try Casa Real someday!
