Orion Sports Bar & Grille

Orion Sports Bar & Grille is a sports bar that combines entertainment, sports, and casual dining in the heart of Lake Orion, Michigan. The address to the Orion Sports Bar is 1172 Lapeer Road, Lake Orion, Michigan, which is located right off M-24. The contact information to make reservations for big parties is 248-693-3015. Orion Sports Bar & Grille is a great place to watch the game, drink some cocktails with friends, or enjoy the classic American bar. All the food on the affordable menu is served every night until 12 a.m. and includes many delicious options to pick from. There is pub trivia every Tuesday, karaoke every Saturday, and local DJ’s and bands every Friday. Orion Sports Bar & Grille is open seven days a week until 2 a.m. My favorite special on their menu is the ten-cent wings every Monday starting at 8p.m. The wings are really big and you can choose any kind of sauce that you want with them. You have to buy some kind of drink such as alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages to get wings for ten-cents. The pub also has a thirsty Thursday where all pints are just $2.50 and shot specials are $3.50 all night long. The pub always has many specials when Michigan sports teams are being broadcasted over the television. The thirsty Thursdays includes specials on drinks such as Oberon, Summer Shandy, Two Hearted, Dirty Bastard, Killians, Labatt, Bud Light, Miller Light, Angry Orchard, Shiner Bock, Guiness, and Stella. The menu includes starters, soups, signature salads, sliders, burger town, sandwiches, and entrees. The starters part of the menu includes items like onion rings, steak bites, spinach artichoke dip, boneless buffalo bites, fried mushrooms, mini tacos, potato boats, chips and salsa, nachos, quesadillas, southern fried pickles, and chicken strips and French fries. Coleslaw, a side salad, roadhouse wedge salad, park island salad, Caesar salad, Italian salad, and chicken salad are all on the signature salad section. The soups include chili called Best Damn Chili, soup of the day, and clam chowder in which you can get a cup or a bowl. Some items on the burger section of the menu are the western burger, the matty melt, the blue and black, the farmer, and the manly burger. All burgers and sandwiches are served with a pickle and chips but you can add fries for $1.25 or onion rings for $1.99. The sandwich line-up on the menu is the famous reuben, ham and cheddar melt, buffalo chicken sandwich, B.L.T., chicken fajita wrap, bologna sandwich, the Oakland grinder, and the fish Rueben. Some entrees on the menu include items such as baked cod, New York strip, fish tacos, char-grilled chicken dinner, fish and chips, grilled chicken alfredo, big fat burrito, and chicken stir fry. My favorite soup is the clam chowder. The wings are really good here and are worth the wait to eat dinner around 8 p.m. My band has played up at the Orion Sports Bar many times and always has taken care of their guests. I would definitely recommend that you and some friends try this sports bar sometime in the future.

The Golden Buffet

The Golden Buffet has my favorite Chinese buffet that I have ever tried in the state of Michigan. The address of the Golden Buffet is 5630 Dixie Highway, Waterford, Michigan 48329. The phone number to call for reservations or just to see what time their open and closed on certain days is 248-623-8585. The hours are Sunday through Thursday from 11a.m.- 10 p.m. and Friday/Saturday from 11 a.m.-11 p.m. The prices of the buffet range from eight to twelve dollars depending on the time of day. The restaurant’s web address is http://www.goldenbuffet.net/news.asp. The website includes the menu, news, feedback, coupons, directions, about the restaurant, and a gallery. The first thing someone sees when walking into the Golden Buffet is a water fountain with its water flowing into a talk of water filled with gold fish. The picture in the back of the water fountain is an important building surrounded by a bunch of flowers and the sunlight. The scenery makes you feel comforting like your eating right at home by yourself or with your family. The restaurant has two parts for dining and a private room to have private parties of some sort. The menu consists of a lunch menu that is filled with lunch meals or the buffet without the fried mussels. The dinner includes the fried mussels on the buffet, which are made of mussel and this melted cheese baked on top. My favorite food item from the buffet is the crab legs and stir-fry. Crab legs have been my favorite food since I was a little kid and now I love them even more. The servers dump a big metal tray full of crab legs every ten minutes. The buffet also includes frog legs, crayfish, sesame chicken, sweet and sour chicken, prime rib, almond chicken, jumbo shrimp, calamari, and even some sushi. The stir-fry items are vegetables, meats such as chicken, steak, or shrimp, seasonings, and choices of different sauces to put in your stir-fry. The chefs make it on a huge grill that can cook your stir-fry very quickly. The restaurant has wonton and egg drop soup that's included in the buffet. The rice is always warm when going to the buffet so you can eat it with your meal. The buffet has a section with American food such as pizza, fries, and some plain chicken for everyone that doesn’t like the Chinese flavored chicken. The Golden Buffet’s buffet also includes the dessert section towards the back of the restaurant that has many good options. The dessert bar includes items that include vanilla or chocolate ice cream, almond cookies, grapes, melons, vanilla or chocolate pudding, flan, pineapple, cream puffs, jello, vanilla wafers in vanilla pudding, garden salad with ranch, chocolate cake, a mix of vanilla and chocolate ice cream twist, and toppings to go on ice creams. The toppings include chopped up reese’s pieces, oreos, gummy worms or bears, nuts, caramel, and fudge. The feedbacks on the restaurant are all positive and good reviews about the Golden Buffet. Everybody’s favorite is Mongolian grill and the chocolate fountain, which is a new item since I ate their last. Many reviews said that this buffet is the best in Michigan because it’s clean and the food tastes phenomenal. The Golden Buffet is a excellent restaurant to bring your family or friends for lunch or dinner to try the food. If you love seafood, this is the place for you to take your family or friends to enjoy the all you can eat buffet.

Miyako Japanese Steakhouse

Miyako Japanese Steakhouse is a delicious Japanese cuisine in a laid back, fun atmosphere to take your family for lunch or dinner. The address of the restaurant is 4382 Baldwin Road, Suite 625, Auburn Hills, Michigan 48326. The family restaurant is located inside Great Lakes Crossing mall and the phone number to make reservations or to ask questions is 248-451-9000. The two dining options are sitting at a table with about eight people or sitting at the sushi bar. I have never ate at the sushi bar, but I hear that it's really good. The hibachi chefs will be cooking the food at your table while you watch. Sometimes you have to share a table with another family, but it's a good time talking to people besides your family and friends at dinner. The hibachi chefs are entertaining for the children and the adults. First, the server will ask you what you want to drink and then ask what everyone wants to eat for lunch or dinner. The menu includes appetizers, entrees, combination entrees, Miyako triple combination, a children menu, desserts, soft drinks or juice, Miyako specials(sushi menu), Miyako special drinks, wine, and beer. I have never tried any of the appetizers but the menu includes items such as vegetable dumplings, a sampler of the freshest raw fish, a four piece sampler of sushi of the day, fresh New York strip prepared with sauce, and lightly fried soft crab meat with Japanese tempura. Combination entrees (2 or 3 choices) include steak, chicken, shrimp, calamari, filet mignon, scallops, lobster, snow tuna, and white tuna. The combination plates let you choose two or three of those food items listed above for a lunch or dinner meal. All the combination meals come with Miyako fried rice and Miyako soup and salad. The children's menu includes food items such as Hibachi chicken, steak, shrimp, and filet mignon. The children must be ten years old and under to order off the kids menu and all the kids meals come with Miyako soup, salad, vegetables, rice, ginger sauce, and mustard sauce. The desserts that the menu contains are ice cream(green tea, red bean, or mango), Mochi ice cream, cheesecake, and Tai yaki. The sushi bar includes items such as sushi, sashimi, combination, maki sushi rolls, house special maki, spicy maki, and special maki. The beverages include coke products and many juices to choose from on the beverage section. This restaurant has domestic, imported, and Japanese beer and house, red, white, blush, and Japanese wine for alcoholic beverages. My favorite meal to get is the three combination that comes with filet mignon, shrimp, and lobster. I really like there onion soup and the dressing on the salad is really tasty too. I don't get any grilled vegetables, but I like to double the fried rice portion of the meal. The chefs like to play tricks on first timers coming to the restaurant, so they will want to come back to eat again. The first time that I went to eat dinner at Miyako's was a very fun and exciting experience. The chef asked me if I wanted soy sauce and he had a fake bottle of soy sauce that he pretended to spill on me. The chef's really like to interact with the family to keep children and adults entertained while cooking the meals and appetizers. You won't regret bringing your family or friends into Miyako Steakhouse for lunch or dinner.
